Description

I've actually had this sitting in my harddrive for several months now, and I've been wanting to show this off for a while, but until now I hadn't figured out how to present it properly here.

I made this in Photoshop for my Desktop Pony of my Pony OC.
I already had several animations I'd made for this pony using other pony sprites as bases, but I'm pretty happy to say that this one's a little more creative than just a recolored preexisting animation.

Well, the actual animation of the pony is still a recolor combining several sprite animations I've found throughout DeviantArt, combined together to get the movement I wanted.

The cloud however is all me. I'm mighty proud of it too. :3

When I made this for use in Desktop Ponies, I found it easiest to just make separate gifs of each stage of the animation. (which included each of the different sculptures made with the cloud)
Which was fine and good because the editor in Desktop Ponies allows you to make a sequence so they all play together in order.

When I finally finished all that, I felt good enough about this animation that I actually wanted to post it.
I soon realized that if I wanted to show the full animation the way it's supposed to be seen, that would mean that the roughly 8 or 9 gif files I had would have to be combined into one... which is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DO IN PHOTOSHOP!!!

And I say "almost" because I technically COULD do it if I copy/pasted each and every frame from every single gif into a single sequence one at a time. I'm sure you can understand my aversion to doing that with over 300 frames worth of animation. :dead:

After scouring the internet for an infuriating number of hours, I finally found a way to do it in GIMP. (which I downloaded and installed specifically for THIS) I'm not gonna go into the boring details, but let's just say the final result made me VERY happy.

Some of the frames are sticking out here and there so it doesn't look EXACTLY how it's supposed to, but at this point I'm glad just to be able to get this out.

Addendum: I might post the other animations I made for this pony into my scraps if I feel like it. If I do it'll happen on a later date. :P
